It’s got a huge following and is one of the most successful shows on TV, so it comes as no surprise to hear that HBO has renewed True Blood for a sixth season.

However, with good news comes bad, as the vampire drama series will lose its main runner Alan Ball after this season’s finale, but wil still keep him on as executive producer.

True Blood is currently airing its fifth season, and stars Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgard.
