After the first poster was released at Comic-Con last weekend in San Diego, Warner Bros. Pictures has released the first teaser trailer for the new Superman film, Man of Steel.

The Zack Snyder directed film stars Henry Cavill in the leading role as well as Amy Adams, and follows the superhero on his journey to discovering his powers as he battles his villain General Zod, played by Michael Shannon.

Man of Steel also stars Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane and Kevin Costner and is scheduled to hit theatres in June 2013.
