It was a star-studded occasion tonight (Sunday, January 15) at Auckland’s St. Lukes for the world premiere of Sione’s 2: Unfinished Business.
All of the familiar faces from the original film were in attendance, including Oscar Knightly, Robbie Magasiva, Pua Magasiva and Teuila Blakely.
Also spotted at the exciting event were a slew of Shortland Street stars such as Ido Drent and Angela Bloomfield, All Blacks Jerome Kaino, Ali Williams with wife Casey Green and Piri Weepu.
Musicians Annabel Fay, David Dallas, DJ Sir-Vere, P Money and six-time Tui award and ARIA award winner Ladyhawke even made a surprise stop at the theatre before heading inside to watch the much-anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed film, Sione’s Wedding.
Hitting screens on January 19, the New Zealand comedic flick was directed by Simon Bennett and written by Oscar Knightly and James Griffin.
