It was an afternoon of glitz and glamour at the star-studded 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards held at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles today.
Big name celebrities such as Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie, George Clooney & Stacy Keibler, Michelle Williams, Meryl Streep, Sofia Vergara and Lea Michele were all in attendance for the exciting Tinseltown ceremony.
Jean Dujardin took home the Outstanding Performance By A Male Actor In A Leading Role award for his work in French silent film The Artist, beating out a tough line-up including George Clooney (The Descendants), Brad Pitt (Moneyball), Leonardo DiCaprio (J. Edgar) and Demian Bichir (A Better Life).
Meanwhile, The Help picked up the top honour, winning Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture while it’s leading lady, Viola Davis was honoured with the Outstanding Performance By A Male Actor In A Leading Role award.
Other big winners included Hot In Cleaveland‘s Betty White, 30 Rock‘s Alec Baldwin, Beginners‘ Christopher Plummer and the casts of Modern Family and Boardwalk Empire.
