Nicole Kidman presented Meryl Streep with the Best Actress award at the 2012 Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards (AACTA) last night.
Held at Soho House in West Hollywood, CA, the Australia actress announced Meryl as the big winner of the night following her portray of Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady.
Wearing a black lace Collette Dinnigan dress, Nicole attended the event’s first annual ceremony alongside her country star husband Keith Urban.
Also attending the awards were Berenice Bejo, Guy Pearce, Russell Crowe, Liam Hemsworth and Australian of the Year Geoffrey Rush.
Along with Meryl, the other big winner at the Australian Academy Of Cinema And Television Arts Awards was Jean Dujardin, who won Best Actor for his French silent film The Artist. The film also picked up the Best Picture honour and Best Director for Michel Hazanavicius.
