Nicki Minaj Gets Wild on “Pound The Alarm” Video Set

Looking like a scene straight out of a carnival, Nicki Minaj was spotted filming her new music video for “Pound The Alarm” in Trinidad on Thursday (July 5).

The 29-year-old singer and rapper looked right at home as she paraded down the streets of her native country, dressed in an elaborate red costume adorned in feathers as she performed with Soca king Machel Montano and his HD dancers.

“Just wrapped an amazing video on an amazing island,” Nicki tweeted following the 12-hour shoot.

Talking about the video, director Benny Boom says that “Pound The Alarm” will open up the eyes of everyone to what there is in Trinidad. He said, “I think Trinidad is a challenge sometimes, tourism wise, because in the (United) States at least people don’t know it as a location for beaches and that sort of thing, so I think that in that regard, you gotta get people to look at the island for what it offers.”
