He’s one of the hottest actors in the world right now, with previous roles as a mutant and an android, now Michael Fassbender looks to step into the world of video games by donning the assasin’s hood.

According to Variety, the actor has signed on to star and co-produce Assassin’s Creed, based on the bset-selling time-travelling game of the same name.

“Michael Fassbender was our first choice,” Jean-Julien Baronnet, CEO of Ubisoft Motion Pictures, gushed. “[He's] an extremely smart, talented, versatile and committed actor.”

Details on Michael’s character, who will direct and the release date have yet to be released.
