Dumb and Dumber 2 was rumored to be dead after Jim Carrey dropped out of the sequel earlier this year due to conflicts with New Line and Warner Brothers.

However, the much anticipated comedy is back on!

Sharing the good news, co-star Jeff Daniels confirmed that whatever problems there were have been worked out and that the sequel is finalising its script. “We almost were able to kinda get it done this year, but they’re still working on the script,” he said. “Jim wants to do it. I want to do it and The Farrelly’s want to do it. We’re all hoping that’ll come together early next year.”

According to sources, Carrey decided to bow out of the sequel due to lack of interest from the studios while the Farrelly Brothers were working on The Three Stooges.
