After five highly-successful seasons, Gossip Girl has officially announced the upcoming sixth season will be the show’s last.

The final rendition of the hit drama will include just 11 episodes, but with all of the drama fans have come to love! “Serena has gone off the grid, beyond even the reach of Gossip Girl. Her friends fear for the worst and hope for the best, but even they can’t imagine where they will ultimately find her.”

Additionally, the season will follow Nate’s mission to reveal Gossip Girl’s true identity, and in a statement to Parade, Chace Crawford called the ending “bittersweet.”

“For me, it’s going to be…tough to leave New York City. And it’s definitely an end of an era. It was college for everyone really,” he explained.
