Making for an emotional afternoon, the cast of Glee were busy shooting their final scenes for the season three finale in Los Angeles on Wednesday (May 9).

Lea Michele (Rachel) shared an embrace with real-life boyfriend Cory Monteith (Finn) before filming a scene where she boards a train and leaves town with all of her classmates gathering together to say their goodbyes.

Tweeting about her day, Michele wrote, “On set now shooting. It’s my second to last day of filming season 3! Tomorrows gonna be so sad!”

Others cast members spotted filming were Mark Salling, Darren Criss, Matthew Morrison, Jenna Ushkowitz, Heather Morris, Jayma Mays and Dianna Agron, who posted a message upon day’s ending, writing, “I don’t know all that is to come, but I know what a day like this means. Four years of love, light & support. To the cast, crew & creators. And to all of you that have shown your love along the way. We just can’t thank you enough. This has always been a very surreal experience. X”

As many know, the third season finale will see many series regulars graduate from the show, and will also feature special guest star Lindsay Lohan as a celebrity guest judge at Nationals.
