It’s been more than a year since the Entourage movie was confirmed, and while it doesn’t look like it’ll be hitting theaters anytime soon, the project is still very much alive.

Earlier today, HBO Programming president Michael Lombardo assured fans at the Television Critics Association summer press tour in Beverly Hills that the flick isn’t dead and that they’ve already started working on it!

“[Creator] Doug [Ellin], as of this week, is on Page 65 [of the] film’s script,” Michael said. “He’s writing a script, and he’s excited about it. I’ve heard a general pitch for it.

“After we take a look at the script… we’d still have to make deals with the cast and then figure out whether this is something that makes sense or not,” he added. “But yes — [Ellin] is in the process of writing as we speak.”

After the series finale, we’d love to see the guys get back together for one more run!
