Comic-Con: “Man Of Steel” Reveals Darker Side of Superman

He’s the king of comic book heroes, and while the upcoming Superman adaption, Man of Steel, will not be hitting theatres until June 2013, director Zack Snyder and star Henry Cavill brought all kinds of special treats to the 2012 Comic-Con panel over the weekend.

Without giving too much away, the duo dropped footage from the superhero movie for the first time. From what was reported from the clip, the film is a darker, more human take on the classic story and gave a sneak peak at Michael Shannon as the film’s villain, General Zod.

The reaction to the video was overwhelming, with fans even crying as they thanked Snyder and Cavill for doing the hero justice. But that wasn’t all from the Superman panel, as the first official teaser poster was also released.

And while everyone is buzzing about the extremely well-received footage, it won’t be long until we get to see it as it’s set to premiere with The Dark Knight Rises when it hits theatres later this week!
