Channing Tatum Confirms “Magic Mike” Sequel


With its NZ release date just two weeks away (June 26), Magic Mike is dominating the box office all over the world. Now, with the success of the raunchy film that’s getting women hot and bothered, it’s only natural that there would be talks about a sequel, but it may be happening sooner than everyone expected.

During a recent interview with Channing Tatum, the star of and inspiration behind the male stripper flick, he was asked about the possibility of Magic Mike 2.

Channing answered, “Yes, yes and yes! We’re working on the concept now. We want to flip the script and make it bigger.”

Additionally, the 32-year-old actor wants to turn the stripper story into a “very interactive” theater production.

Magic Mike is directed by Steven Soderbergh and is about a group of male strippers at a club in Tampa, Florida. It also stars Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey, Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer.
