In what’s looking to be an interesting season twelve, sources have confirmed that Miley Cyrus and Adam Lambert are both being considered to join the judges table on American Idol.
“They have been talking about Adam for over a month,” an insider told E! News. “He personifies the show, and will be a popular choice right from the start. He knows what it’s like to be on the receiving end of the judges’ comments, he has a human touch, and they know they can’t go wrong if they bring him on. He would be able to bring a unique perspective to the show. People love him.”
Jennifer Lopez reportedly has no plans to return to the hit competition show for a third year, and Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler‘s future is up in the air.
“Randy is great, but he’s part of the old Idol,” the source added. “They want to keep the soul of the show but have a new look, and for that reason he may well not be part of the new line up.”
Other names being thrown around are Nicki Minaj, Fergie, Katy Perry and will.i.am.
The big shake up is likely an attempt to draw in a younger audience to keep up with X Factor, who recently hired Britney Spears and Demi Lovato as judges.
