He grew up right before our very eyes, going from child pop phenomenon to teenage superstar, now Justin Bieber is back with a new look and a new sound in his third studio album, Believe.
After the album’s first listen, it’s clear that Bieber draws inspiration from Justin Timberlake‘s Justified disc, as he’s delved more into an older, R&B sound, which should get listeners to take the teen heartthrob more seriously and get him some decent radio airplay, despite the shocking fact that the 18-year-old still has yet to break number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Justin’s second single “All Around The World (ft. Ludacris) kicks the album off and really sets the tone for the rest of the record, setting up other big beat dance tracks such as “As Long As You Love Me” and the fun “Beauty And The Beat” which includes Nicki Minaj rapping, “Justin Bieber / You know I’mma hit ‘em with the ether / Buns out, wiener / But I gotta keep a eye out for Selena”
Old school Justin Bieber fans, or Beliebers, will fall in love with the singer’s silky smooth vocals in “Believe”, the album’s title track about believing in yourself, dedicated to his faithful followers.
Also, be sure to check out the Deluxe Edition to hear “Maria” – Bieber’s version of Michael Jackson‘s “Billie Jean”, as he sings about Mariah Yeater, the woman who publicly alleged that the star with the father of her child.
